MOCPA – The Memorial Orienteering Competition Pece Atanasoski is an international orienteering competition organised by OK Zlatovrv – Prilep in memory of Pece Atanasoski (1949-2009), our beloved orienteering trainer and second father, with whom we embraced and lived orienteering.
MOCPA 2017 will be held from friday 29 September till sunday 1 October 2017, in the surroundings of Prilep, with every day a different discipline. First there will be a sprint distance in Krushevo, the highest situated city in Macedonia. On the second day we will have a middle distance around the famous area of Marko’s Towers. The last day will be a long distance chasing start in the extraordinay landscape of Shatorov Kamen, close to the monastery of St. Demetrius of Salonica. On both forest disciplines, the runners will have a breathtaking view over the city of Prilep, which will make it harder to stay focused on the map! These maps consist of technically and physcially demanding terrain of both open and semi-open areas filled with numerous rock boulders which will provide you with many different challenges.
